Nestled in a private cove on Long Island, Elysian Retreat is a true Whitsundays reset, surrounded by national park rainforest and turquoise Great Barrier Reef waters. The service is personal, the pace is slower, and the setting feels wonderfully remote.

Accommodation is intentionally limited to 10 free standing oceanfront villas, crafted from Australian hardwood with high cathedral ceilings, large windows, and private balconies. Expect uninterrupted water views, ensuite bathrooms with organic amenities, and thoughtful outdoor spaces like hammocks, day beds, and outdoor showers in selected villas.

Elysian is positioned as an adults only retreat, and the property notes it caters to children aged 14 years and over.

How to get here?

Access to Elysian is a scenic journey by air or sea. Guests can arrive via a 10 minute helicopter flight from Hamilton Island or from Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach.
Boat transfers are also available, including transfers from Shute Harbour and options from Hamilton Island, with some routes depending on tide conditions.
