Luigi Einaudi Dogliani Dolcetto 2019 $32.50 BTL / 6 pk

$195.00

A traditional Italian wine that is easy to drink, coming from the vineyards in the hills of San Luigi, San Giacomo and Madonna dell Grazie. Dogliani is a red wine made exclusively from Dolcetto grapes in Piedmont, north western Italy.

The links between the town of Dogliani and its Dolcetto wine are certainly strong as illustrated by the coat of arms: a blue lion holding a golden wine carafe.

Luigi Einaudi was a winemaker AND the first President of the Republic of Italy following WW2. He was also an economist. In 1897, as a young man looking for life, he purchased his first farm in San Giacomo in Dogliani, convinced that agriculture could lead Piedmont out of crisis.  The three subsequent generations took his example to heart and shared his values.
